Lately

We just returned from visiting Charleston for Memorial Day weekend.  Robbie's parents and several of his old college friends still live there.  We were able to fit in lots of family time and also time catching up with friends.  It was fun and exhausting!

It is a looooong drive there - 5 and 1/2 hours.  Hawkins is not the best car rider, so we decided to leave Friday after work so he could sleep most of the way.  Well, he had other plans.  He did not fall asleep until 10:30pm!  Despite that he actually did pretty well though.  Not too much screaming :)

Saturday afternoon we went to downtown Charleston and walked around and it was HOT!  Then Robbie and I had dinner with some of his friends while his parents babysat Hawkins.  Sunday night we had more friends over and cooked out.

Hawkins loved Dave's hat!

Memorial day we just hung out before leaving after lunch

My sweet patriotic boy!

Wow, I didn't realize I looked this pregnant!

We were also able to see Robbie's 2 grandmother's who had never met Hawkins, so they were very excited to see him.  He was a hit in Charleston!!!

These next pics were taken before our trip...

I made cookies one afternoon and Hawkins loved licking the beater!

He loves his Mickey Mouse yogurt for breakfast!

We are still in transition living in Americus.  Hawkins started a little summer program that he goes to in the mornings and he LOVES it.  Mommy likes the nice break too :)  We have a contract to sell our house in Thomasville and if all goes well we will close at the end of June.  Now we just need to find a house here!

More news...

I have a big announcement to make....Baby Raybon #2 is going to make an appearance in November!

I have been waiting until I went to the doctor a couple of times before making an official announcement.  I have been twice and everything seems to look great for this sweet baby.  I am 15 weeks pregnant!

Robbie and I cannot decide if we are going to find out the sex or not.  We did with Hawkins, so maybe it will be a nice surprise to wait...?  If we have another boy I am set on clothes and all things blue!  But if it's a girl then I have to get shopping for all things pink!

We are still in the process of selling our home in Thomasville, so we are living with my parents in Americus.  It is really not as bad as it sounds :)  Hawkins loves to be around his Honey and Big Daddy all the time and we of course love seeing Robbie every day.  We will miss Thomasville, but it was just too hard to be there alone with Hawkins AND being sick in the beginning stages of pregnancy.   We will all be happy if our house can sell and we can get settled in a house in our new town!

Gatewood Beach Trip 2012

We just returned from a 9 day vacation to the beach!  Hawkins has not been since last May when he was 9 months old, so this was a totally different experience.  He loved every minute of the beach and pool, but would have nothing to do with the ocean.  Funny little boy!

Robbie, Hawkins and me went last Friday and had the weekend to ourselves with our family.  I have to say it was so much fun to be by ourselves and enjoy precious time together.  Hawkins poured sand all over his Daddy at the beach and went on long golf cart rides - his favorite!

My parents came Sunday and Robbie went home to work.  We enjoyed a fun week of relaxing and then Virginia, Crisp, Katie, Fleming and Robbie came back for the second weekend.

Hawkins loved going to the "bay bay pool" and playing at the "bee".  My Mom got him a new UGA hat and he wore it the whole time!  He hates to wear hats so this is a big deal.  I am majorly concerned with him getting too much sun, so this helped block his face and the top of his head.  Score!

My little beach bum got tan and his hair got even blonder!

He loved playing at the playground at the pier!
