5 Months!

This week we are celebrating a New Year and Hawkins' 5 month birthday. I love looking back at his monthly pictures and I am so glad I decided to do this monthly ritual with my baby. He is getting so big!

You started solid foods this month! We started with rice cereal for a couple of weeks and then progressed to stage 1 baby foods. You love them! You love to eat just like your Mommy and Daddy :) You have tried pears, sweet potatoes and peas. I mix them with the rice cereal and you have them twice a day. (I think you are allergic to the sweet potatoes b/c you broke out with red splotches - boo!)

You are drooling up a storm and have to wear a bib all the time now. Between that and eating baby food we go through a lot of bibs and do a lot of laundry!

We have naked time every night before bath time and you love it! You lay in your crib while Daddy draws your bath and we tickle you while you laugh and laugh.

You want anything and everying in your mouth! You can reach and grab for toys and you put them straight in your mouth. You still have that one tooth coming in, but I think there will be more soon!

You have grown out of all your 3-6 month clothes and are in full 6 month clothes.

You are in size 2 diapers.

You are adjusting to a new schedule now where you nurse 4 times a day, eat baby food 3 times a day and take 2 big naps and 1 mini nap. We waited until we got home from traveling for Christmas and things settled down before we started this schedule and worked on his naps. Currently Hawkins will ONLY take naps in his swing and this does not work well when we travel. We are working on taking naps in his crib as we speak!

You still sleep all the way through the night from 8pm-7am! This has wavered some since you were sick and get tummy aches sometimes. You woke up in the night alot over Christmas, but I think it was adjusting to sleeping in different places.

You got an excersaucer for Christmas from your Honey and Big Daddy and you LOVE it! You play and punch the buttons and turn around in it.

You love the Baby Einstein DVD's. We let you watch it once a day in your excersaucer. Your eyes just glue to the tv! It is perfect for your fussy evenings.

You like your jumpy seat for very limited time periods. 5 minutes max. This picture was actually taken a few weeks ago. You are getting more and more used to it and can just now really use your legs to jump.

I will end with this precious picture. Hawkins was down to his diaper and bib sitting in his bumbo. He has the cutest smirk on his face!
